Feeding Frenzy: Paul support surges in Montana, Alaska, Washington state...

With only two days remaining before the Super Tuesday primaries the remaining presidential candidates are rallying to secure support in participating states.

The results of Tuesday’s voting will be heavily weighed by media pundits and fellow reactionaries, but followers of Republican congressman Ron Paul are especially eager to see how their candidate fares. Tuesday’s Republican caucuses could provide Paul with his first bona fide victory of the campaign.

In regard to the states casting ballots on the 5th, Paul is currently leading in campaign contributions in Montana and Washington state. His campaign is also keeping a keen eye on Alaska. He is the only Republican White House hopeful maintaining campaign offices in the state.

Not only that, but Paul is the highest-polling Republican candidate in Alaska. Optimistic souls in the Paul camp are counting on a built-in libertarian base in the northerly state.

There has also been word that Paul is proving popular in the aforementioned Washington state. He has received the most campaign contributions among Republican candidates there. Washingtonians are known for progressive political leanings, which may translate into support for Paul’s libertarian message. Washington voters hold their caucus on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Finally, today, the editors of American Conservative magazine have endorsed Ron Paul for the Republican presidential nomination. Read the full endorsement here.

Until next time, keep going for The Gold!
